Dude is a 2025 Indian Tamil romantic comedy-drama film. It is written and directed by Keerthiswaran. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju play the lead roles. The cast also includes R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma and Neha Shetty.

This film is Keerthiswaran’s directorial debut. Netflix confirmed the project in January 2025. Mythri Movie Makers announced it officially in March under the title PR 04. Shooting began in Chennai the same month. The team revealed the final title Dude in May.

The film has music by Sai Abhyankkar. The cinematography is done by Niketh Bommi. Editing is handled by Barath Vikraman. Dude was released worldwide on 17 October 2025 during the Diwali weekend. Critics gave mixed reviews. The first half received praise, while the second half was criticized for its story.

Agan and Kural are cousins. They run an event-planning team called Surprise Dude. They have a warm and fun bond. One day, Kural confesses her love to Agan. Agan rejects her because he sees her as family. After time apart, Agan realizes he loves her too.

Agan meets Kural’s father, Athiyamaan, a powerful minister. Athiyamaan accepts the proposal at once. But the story changes when Kural says she loves Paari, a man from another caste. Athiyamaan strongly opposes this. He reveals he once killed his sister for marrying outside the caste.

Paari tries to elope with Kural with Agan’s help. Their plans fail because Paari has no passport. The cousins fake a wedding. Agan later tries to send Kural and Paari abroad. A Thailand plan fails. A Canada plan works partly. Paari’s visa gets approved, but Kural’s is rejected because she is pregnant with Paari’s child.

Agan suggests abortion but the doctor warns it is risky. Agan withdraws the idea. Kural drops it too. She gives birth to a baby boy with six fingers. Agan supports her and acts as the baby’s father.

Kural later learns Agan always loved her. She tries to find a match for him but fails. Agan asks Samyuktha to pretend to be his girlfriend. This helps complete Kural’s documents.

Athiyamaan discovers the divorce. He becomes angry and attacks Agan. He orders his men to kill him. Kural confesses everything. Athiyamaan kidnaps her baby. He tries to kill him but collapses from a heart attack. The baby saves him by calling for help.

Agan reveals the rescue was staged. Athiyamaan realizes his mistakes. He confesses publicly and goes to prison. In the end, Agan and Samyuktha fall in love and get married.
