Panchayat is a popular Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama web series created by The Viral Fever (TVF) for Amazon Prime Video. Written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya, the show stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, and Sanvikaa.

The story follows Abhishek Tripathi, an engineering graduate who takes a job as the secretary of a Gram Panchayat in the fictional village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh. Struggling with rural life and low pay, Abhishek dreams of escaping by cracking the CAT exam, but over time he grows attached to the villagers and their quirky lives.

Since its debut on 3 April 2020, Panchayat has received critical acclaim for its realistic portrayal of village life, sharp writing, and strong performances. The show beautifully mixes humor, emotion, and social commentary.

As of June 2025, Panchayat has released four seasons, each deepening the story of Phulera’s people, their politics, and Abhishek’s personal journey.
